Emphasizes one-dimensional and three-dimensional illusional work, focusing on knowledge and

skills in “corrective,” aging, and period makeup, with introductions to related areas, such as hair, hands, and prosthetics.

Team taught, main focus was to present costume history in various periods for movement and manners, and

how to effectively wear period costumes used in theatre productions.

This is a course for Actors, Directors, and Costume Designers! It specializes in organically integrating the mental attitudes

with the physical costumes, movements, and manners appropriate to plays, musicals, and operas of three major time periods:

RENAISSANCE/ELIZABETHAN (1500-1620)

BAROQUE/ROCOCO (1660-1790)

LATE VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN (1870-1910)
