Design Concept for OPQRS, Etc. 

         OPQRS, Etc., by Madge Miller, was produced at Utah State University as the Children’s Theatre Production for the 1997 season. Instructor Maggi Moar directed while students designed the set, sound, costumes, props and lights. The theme of the play, performed for an audience of children, points out the absurdity of having one person dictate personal tastes and likes onto others. For example, Otto, the Official, likes everything and anything that has to do with the letter “O”:

         I forecast the weather, choose the month and day, announce the time, and pick the color. I pick orange because it is the color of my hair and it begins with “O.” It is Otto’s color.
